Apparently the government now believes it is within their power to make laws about basically anything they please. Obviously no one could possibly like Bowl Games, because Barack Obama doesn't like Bowl Games. Therefore, we must stick our noses in yet another place they do not belong to make sure the private sector is doing what is "in the best interest of some people trying to make a name for themselves, get re-elected, help out the common man."

The coordinator of the Bowl Championship Series told a congressional committee Friday that a switch to a playoff system -- favored by fans, President Barack Obama and some lawmakers -- would threaten the existence of celebrated bowl games.
Swofford was appearing before the House Energy and Commerce Committee's commerce, trade and consumer protection subcommittee, some of whose members back legislation aimed at prodding the BCS to switch to a playoff system.
